Attendant Room

About the role

As a Room Attendant you’ll make sure our rooms and suites are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for guests after a busy day, creating a haven for them to relax in or finish last-minute work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure rooms are at their best and deliver a memorable experience for guests.
• Assist guests with requests such as providing a toothbrush or directions.
• Keep supervisors updated on room-service progress and flag any repairs needed.
• Follow established safety procedures and wear protective equipment when required.
• Stay organized: manage supplies and amenities while minimizing waste.
• Reunite lost items with owners and log lost-and-found property according to procedures.
• Present a smart appearance by wearing the uniform with pride.
• Take part in ad-hoc tasks and team efforts to complete urgent work.
• Monitor and control supplies and amenities, minimizing waste across housekeeping areas.
• Report, turn in, and log all lost-and-found items as per established procedures.
• Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service.
• Participate in deep-cleaning projects and perform turndown duties when scheduled.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Key Skills & Experience

• Physical fitness for standing most of the day.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and push or pull heavy objects; occasional bending and kneeling.
• Literacy skills including reading, writing and basic math.
• Flexible attitude to shifts, including nights, weekends and/or holidays.
