About the role

The Athletics Game Day & Ticket Operations Manager oversees all aspects of event operations on game days, ensuring smooth running of events and providing an exceptional experience for fans, athletes, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all game day operations, including setup, logistics, and teardown.
  • Work with coaches on game times and schedule conflicts.
  • Supervise game day staff, including ushers, security, concessions, and volunteers, ensuring all roles are filled and duties are performed efficiently.
  • Serve as tournament director and travel as needed to tournaments. Assist with all administrative calls.
  • Enhance the overall fan experience by addressing concerns and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on game day, including teams, officials, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols; coordinate emergency response plans as needed.
  • Aid in managing game day budgets and expenses, ensuring all operations remain within financial guidelines.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess successes and areas for improvement, compiling feedback for future events.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a 4-year degree and has experience in event management or a related field. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently and under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

Experience in collegiate sports operations, familiarity with NCAA regulations, and strong leadership skills are preferred.
