About the role

The Athletic Trainer/DME Field Service Rep (St. Louis, MO) role is within the Field Services - Bracing & Supports unit at Enovis Corporation. This position requires a passion for patient care and experience in orthopedic settings and Durable Medical Equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Proper measuring and application of orthopedic soft goods, functional bracing, bone growth stimulation, and other Enovis products as prescribed by physicians/HCPs.
  • Assists orthopaedic surgeons in the Cast Room during patient care procedures.
  • Develops and applies knowledge of orthopedic equipment and demonstrates ability to measure and fit them to patients.
  • Performs suture and staple removal, dressing changes, and wound care.
  • Coordinates patient care for follow-up brace fitting appointments.
  • Provides routine customer service to patients, physicians, physician assistants, and other clinical staff.
  • Verifies patient benefits using automation tools.
  • Serves as a liaison between the customer, Enovis, and the Sales Team.
  • Achieve and maintain certification as a Registered Orthopaedic Technologist.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, clinic, or physician’s office, or as an independent contractor working directly in the care of the orthopedic patient.
  • Demonstrated patient care experience.
  • Experience dealing with multiple physicians in a high-volume clinic is a plus.
  • Holds and maintains applicable professional credentials, such as active Athletic Training licensure, Board of Certification (BOC), National Board for Certification in Orthopaedic Technologists (NBCOT OTC), American Board for Certification (ABC) Certified Fitter-orthotics (CFo), Physical Therapy Certification (PTA), or related.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Must satisfy third-party credentialing/screening requirements to gain access to hospital accounts.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and current automobile insurance.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also required.
