About the role

The Athletic Trainer/DME Field Service Rep (Brooklyn, NY) role at Enovis Corporation is a key member of the Field Services Team. This position plays a vital role in driving the medical technology industry forward through transforming patient care and creating better patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Proper measuring and application, education on appropriate use/care, and providing accurate information to patients and Health Care practitioners (HCPs).
  • Care coordination for follow-up brace fitting appointments.
  • Routine customer service to patients, physicians, physician assistants, and other clinical staff.
  • Verification of patient benefits using automation tools, including pre-authorization and/or upfront collection of patient responsibility.
  • Serving as a liaison between the customer, Enovis, and the Sales Team.
  • Achieving metrics and KPIs to ensure customer performance and efficiency comply with applicable Enovis agreements/contracts.
  • Adherence to all Enovis Compliance and Ethics Programs, OIG, government healthcare regulations, regulatory policies and procedures set forth by clinic/hospital, and HIPAA in accordance with government agency requirements.

Requirements

  • A passion for providing excellent care to HCPs and patients, along with a strong desire to be part of a team dedicated to achieving extraordinary patient results.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, clinic, or physician’s office, or as an independent contractor working directly in the care of the orthopedic patient, or related experience required.
  • Demonstrated patient care experience.
  • Experience dealing with multiple physicians in a high-volume clinic is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Must satisfy third-party credentialing/screening requirements to gain access to hospital accounts.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and current automobile insurance.

Qualifications

  • Holds and maintains a Board of Certification (BOC) in Athletic Training, strongly preferred.
  • American Board for Certification (ABC) Certified Fitter-orthotics (CFo), Orthotic Fitter, Physical Therapy Certification, National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Technologists (NBCOT), BOC Physical Therapy Certification, or other relevant orthopedic/clinical certifications may also be considered.
  • Experience with and knowledge of insurance reimbursement/DME billing requirements.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and orthopedic equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
