Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Measure and fit off-the-shelf orthopaedic bracing and other orthopaedic devices.
- Instruct patients regarding use of orthopaedic bracing products and other orthopaedic devices.
- Ordering of products and maintaining inventory of DME Store.
- Performing pre-certification for certain orthopaedic product.
- Recommend orthopaedic bracing and products to patients on a walk-in basis.
- Communicating patient questions or concerns regarding orthopaedic products with physician and staff.
- Communicating with product representatives and vendors regarding product complications or issues.
- Maintaining licensure and certification requirements to comply with the State of Illinois, BOC, and NATA Code of Ethics.
- Completing special projects as assigned.
- Performing duties of co-workers and subordinates as workload dictates.
Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Athletic Trainer or other health-related field.
- Certified Athletic Trainer.
- Orthotic Fitter Certification preferred but not required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an orthopedic or medical setting preferred but not required.
Pay
Pay Range: $50k- $65k annualized.

Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Athletic Trainer or other health-related field. Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer is required. Orthotic Fitter Certification is preferred but not required. Minimum 2 years of experience in an orthopedic or medical setting is preferred but not required.
