Minimum Requirements
- Five (5) years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- NATA and NATABOC Athletic Trainer Certified or certification eligible.
- Good standing for licensure as an Athletic Trainer by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure, or eligible to obtain.
- First Aid and CPR/AED certifications.
- Ability to travel and work hours on nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare services to student-athletes for baseball and men’s golf, including but not limited to: injury prevention and evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation, practice/event coverage, physician referral(s), and medical appointments.
- Establish and comply with a line of communication to team physicians, coaches, student-athletes, EMTs, and parents (when applicable).
- Provide game, practice, conditioning, and athletic training coverage for baseball and men’s golf.
- Provide training room coverage.
- Assist with medical records management for student-athletes for baseball and men’s golf.
- Remain current with all national and state certifications and licensure and follow the NATA code of ethics, including annual CEU opportunities.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Associate Athletic Trainer.
- Participate in a mentorship program and may be assigned professional development tasks during tenure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
- One (1) year of related work experience within a collegiate or professional sports setting.
- Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet.
