Athletic Trainer (ATC) - Orthopedics

Role Overview: Provides assessment, evaluation, and treatment for patients of all ages in a clinical setting. Acts as a professional role model and resource for providers, staff, residents, and students. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field, licensed Athletic Trainer (AT) in Illinois, Certified Athletic Trainer (BOC), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days. Key Responsibilities Performs physical and developmental assessments, documenting evaluations and care plans.Revises treatment plans based on patient response and condition changes.Provides emergency care, including CPR, and maintains current knowledge of medical practices.Manages daily clinical schedules, ensuring documentation aligns with departmental policies.Assesses patient compliance, response, and learning needs related to treatment and self-management.Implements and monitors treatment plans, instructs athletes and families, and evaluates referred patients.Delivers athletic training services at contracted schools, clubs, or colleges as assigned. Ideal candidates will possess strong clinical skills, documentation proficiency, and the ability to deliver quality athlete care within the scope of practice. The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and effective communication to support patient outcomes.
