About the Role
This in-office position is within CLA’s Nonprofit practice, which includes over 850 professionals serving more than 12,000 nonprofits. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in planning, leading, and executing assurance engagements while fostering client relationships and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and execute assurance engagements to deliver excellent client service.
- Work closely with clients and decision-makers to perform a wide range of assurance procedures.
- Prepare financial statements, related disclosures, and reportable condition correspondence letters.
- Assess the design and implementation of internal controls.
- Schedule, delegate, and train team members to support their professional growth.
- Collaborate with managers and principals to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (required).
- Active CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exams, including meeting the 150-credit requirement.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant audit experience.
- Nonprofit experience is strongly preferred.
- Single Audit experience is a plus.
- Ability to travel to client sites, including infrequent overnight travel.
Pay
- Maryland: $83,000.00 - $141,000.00
- Virginia: $87,000.00 - $141,000.00
- New York: $72,000.00 - $110,000.00
