Tasks
- Oversight of all aspects of audits, reviews, and other assurance engagements
- Development of programs, plans, and approaches for assigned client engagements
- Supervision and review of all work of seniors, staff, and interns on assigned client engagements
- Communication of status of work, problems, and findings to both internal GBQ management and clients
- Collaboration with firm leaders, other departments, and client leadership to identify issues and develop and implement solutions
- Review of engagement profitability and preparation of monthly billing
- Development and delivery of executive presentations and summaries of financial information
- Communication of status of work, problems, and findings to both internal GBQ management and clients
- Identification and presentation of operational and financial improvement opportunities for clients
- Identification of complex issues and performing complex technical research to make recommendations to firm and client leadership
- Representation of firm and building relationships through participation in fundraising, meetings, and professional events
- Identification and identification of opportunities to obtain new engagements and assisting in securing new clients and engagements
- Participation in and leading of public speaking engagements and presentations
- Exhibition of strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of technical concepts
- Exhibition of excellent judgment to identify and mitigate risks
- Exhibition of behavior consistent with rules of conduct of the AICPA, OSCPA, and Accountancy Board of Ohio
- Coordination and collaboration with the team, other firm associates, and client personnel to ensure the efficient flow of data, information, and financial issues, risks, and recommendations
- Exhibition of appropriate understanding of client's business, industry, and resources available to provide value to clients
- Exhibition of exemplary brand attributes of the firm and promotion of a positive work environment for team members
- Support and ensure adherence to all administrative policies and procedures of the firm
- Exhibition of an ability to work independently or in a team environment and exhibit confidence addressing and resolving conflict with peers, subordinates, and firm leaders
- Exhibition of consistent seeking of feedback on performance from superiors and enhancement and development of individual professional and technical skills
- Delivery of objective and candid performance evaluations to direct reports and identification of coaching and mentoring opportunities to assist in the development of associates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- CPA certification
- Strong proficiency with PC and software packages utilized by Assurance Department
- Approximately 5-7 years of financial audit experience in public accounting
