Tasks
- Oversight of all aspects of audits, reviews, and other assurance engagements
- Development of programs, plans, and approaches for assigned client engagements
- Supervision and review of all work of seniors, staff, and interns on assigned client engagements
- Responsibility for supervising, mentoring, training, and supporting the development of seniors, staff, and interns
- Communication of status of work, problems, and findings to both internal GBQ management and clients
- Collaboration with firm leaders, other departments, and client leadership to identify issues and develop and implement solutions to address issues identified
- Review of engagement profitability and preparation and analysis of monthly billing for assigned engagements
- Creation and delivery of executive presentations, summaries of financial information, and leading client and internal meetings
- Maintenance of charge hour budget and meeting hour expectations established by the firm
- Prioritization and management of multiple engagements and tasks
- Participation in and leading “approved” non-client initiatives to improve firm administration
- Establishment and implementation of policies that improve department efficiencies
Profitability
- Monitoring of hours incurred by engagement team members and progress of assigned client engagements
- Ensuring work is completed within both a defined budget and timeline
- Achieving charge hour budget and meeting hour expectations established by the firm
- Monitoring staff charge budgets to ensure staff and seniors achieve charge hour budgets and hour expectations established by the firm
- Prioritizing and managing multiple engagements and tasks
Practice Growth
- Representation of firm and building relationships by attending fundraisers, meetings with prospects/bankers, charitable events, professional organizations, etc.
- Demonstration of strong leadership skills while completing client work and firm-related projects
- Identification of opportunities to obtain new engagements and assisting firm leadership in securing new clients and engagements
- Participation in and leading public speaking engagements and presentations
- Demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication skills
