Assurance Manager - Toledo

Tasks

• Oversight of all aspects of audits, reviews, and other assurance engagements
• Development of programs, plans, and approaches for assigned client engagements
• Supervision and review of all work of seniors, staff, and interns on assigned client engagements
• Communication of status of work, problems, and findings to both internal GBQ management and clients
• Collaboration with firm leaders, other departments, and client leadership to identify issues and develop and implement solutions
• Review of engagement profitability and preparation of monthly billing
• Development and delivery of executive presentations and summaries of financial information
• Leading client and internal meetings
• Maintenance of charge hour budget and staff charge budgets
• Prioritization and management of multiple engagements and tasks
• Participation in and leading of approved non-client initiatives to improve firm administration
• Establishment and implementation of policies to improve department efficiencies

Profitability

• Monitoring of hours incurred by engagement team members and progress of assigned client engagements
• Ensuring work is completed within defined budget and timeline
• Monitoring staff charge budgets to ensure achievement of charge hour budgets and hour expectations
• Prioritizing and managing multiple engagements and tasks

Practice Growth

• Attending fundraisers, meetings with prospects/bankers, charitable events, and professional organizations
• Demonstrating strong leadership skills while completing client work and firm-related projects
• Identifying opportunities to obtain new engagements and assisting firm leadership in securing new clients and engagements
• Participation in and leading of public speaking engagements and presentations
• Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills
