About the role
We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Assurance Manager to join the Affordable Housing team in our Chicago office. This position is hybrid, meaning team members are expected to be in the office on average 3 days a week for in-person collaboration, with the cadence determined at the team level.
This role will support our Affordable Housing Group, one of the country's largest real estate advisory firms. You will work with clients driving community development, addressing inequities, and leveraging market-leading technologies and processes. The team includes Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners, all focused on delivering value to clients.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
- Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
- Develop detailed engagement work plans, budgets, and schedules
- Actively participate in proposals
- Manage a team of staff associates, including interns, while providing regular performance coaching and feedback
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting required
- CPA designation is required
- 5+ years' experience in a public accounting firm required
- Knowledge of audit software ProSystem Fx is a plus
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation (verbal and written) skills

Pay
In Illinois, the salary range for Assurance Managers is $100,000 - $150,000. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies.
