Description

The Security Tour Leader at Smurfit Westrock is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the mill. This role involves monitoring access points, operating communication and emergency response systems, conducting patrols, managing incident reporting, dispatching fire and first-aid calls, overseeing security camera and key control systems, and serving as the first responder to onsite emergencies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certification by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) in Unarmed Security and Conservator of the Peace
• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and personal integrity
• Effective teamwork skills, clear and professional communication
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations
• Basic computer and documentation skills; ability to learn security software systems
• Physical ability to perform patrols, respond quickly to emergencies, and work in varying weather conditions
