Asst Nurse Manager - Progressive Pulmo Care/Acute Medicine - Evenings

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager will oversee two units at Barnes-Jewish Hospital: the 6300 Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit and the Acute Medicine Unit, both located at 9-Bed and 13-Bed capacities respectively. The position is responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality care for post-lung transplant and med/surg patients.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance of direct reports
• Ensures productivity and actions of the group align with departmental goals
• Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and expense budgets
• Provides and oversees patient care, creating collaborative care plans
• Interviews staff for open positions, conducts performance reviews, drafts and issues corrective actions/coaching
• Determines staffing needs, makes nursing assignments, assigns overtime, recommends annual increases
• Conducts performance evaluations and makes recommendations for areas of improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• 2-5 years of supervisory experience
• Experience managing and evaluating performance of direct reports
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Preferred: 5-10 years of supervisory experience

Pay

$15,000 sign-on bonus eligible

(4) 10 hour or (5) 8 hour flexible evening shifts Monday - Friday
