About the role

The Assistant Director of Outpatient Services assists the Director of Outpatient in the overall operational administration of the department. This position reports to and supports the Director in daily operations oversight, leveraging expertise in performance and operations management to assume delegated duties. The Assistant Director serves as a leader and critical thinker, proactively solving problems to prevent obstacles. The goal is to help the department achieve objectives of providing the highest quality patient care and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Outpatient in the operational administration of the department.
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills to address challenges proactively.
  • Support the department in achieving high-quality patient care and employee satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree specializing in a clinical-related mental health area, or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred). Actively working toward a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or an appropriate clinical field is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the psychiatric/mental health field; clinical/management experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, Medicare, OSHA regulations, and all other State and federal regulatory standards.
  • Successful completion of Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
