Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of teaching and natural environment play
- Follow the client’s individualized treatment plan and behavior reduction protocols as determined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect, record and summarize data on observable client behavior(s)
- Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding the client’s progress as instructed by the BCBA
- Aid in preparing client materials as instructed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
- Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings provided by the J.D. McCarty Center
- Participate in team meetings and training workshops
- Ensure that the client is always in a safe and positive environment
Qualifications and Requirements
- Have the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or previously had certification and be willing to obtain re-certification within 30-45 days of hire
- A minimum of 1-year experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician in an outpatient clinical or in-home setting
- Able to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly
- Effective time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
- Able to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by the code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws
- Able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing) for extending periods of time
- Willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in a Behavior Intervention Plan while working with children with challenging behavior
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
Pay
Salary: $24.00/hr
Schedule
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m
