ASST DIR - ADMISSIONS

Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Admissions/Intake will provide direct leadership to Admissions staff. Assist with psychiatric assessments and basic medical screenings, coordinate admissions processes, facilitate referrals for outpatient services, and manage staff performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership to Admissions staff.
• Aid in psychiatric assessments and basic medical screenings for psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
• Coordinate the admission process for inpatient, partial, or outpatient programs.
• Facilitate referrals for outpatient services and other community resources.

Experience Qualifications

• A minimum of four (4) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting required.
• Working knowledge of the Addiction & Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Minimum two (2) years leadership experience managing a related function.
• Strong management skills with ability to effectively communicate with staff, ensuring proper employee performance management.

Education

• Bachelor of Science degree in social work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field required;
• Master's Degree preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Current Texas License as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) required.
• CPR, Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation Training (can be obtained upon hire).
• Texas Driver's License.
