Position Description
- Major/Essential Functions:
- Developing an outpatient primary care practice within the outpatient clinic or at a satellite location.
- Direct patient care management in primary faculty clinics as well as the supervision of our internal medicine residents in their continuity of care clinics.
- Teaching internal medicine residents and medical students within the clinic and participating in educational conferences as determined by the Department Chair.
- Working with institutional staff and administration to attain the strategic objectives of the Department of Internal Medicine, including patient safety, patient and other customer satisfaction, maintenance and enhancement of public perception, and fiscal health.
- Complying in a timely manner with all institutional policies for professional work, including credentialing, documentation, and billing.
- Working effectively with other members of the extended inter-professional team.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO or MBBS.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.
