Asst/Assoc/Full Professor - Transplant Nephrology

About the role

The Department of Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, in partnership with CovenantHealth, has a new and growing kidney transplant program in West Texas. This is a great opportunity for a full-time transplant nephrologist to work in partnership with the transplant program director (transplant surgeon) and transplant administrator to ensure a high level of care and service is offered for our growing patient population in a heavily underserved area.

Responsibilities

• Management of all aspects of Transplant Nephrology.
• Pre-transplant candidate evaluation.
• Inpatient consultation.
• Post-transplant outpatient care.
• Living donor candidate evaluation.
• Work collaboratively with surgical colleague and support staff.
• Aid in the development of the Kidney Transplant Program.

Requirements

• MD, MBBS, or DO degree.
• Fellowship trained.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Nephrology.
• Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3.
• *Applicants must meet Qualifications to be the UNOS designated primary nephrologist.*

Qualifications

• Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate’s qualifications and experience.
