About the role

Austin College seeks a strategic, relationship-driven leader to serve as its next Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the AVP will provide leadership for fundraising, alumni engagement, constituent relations, and advancement operations in support of the College’s mission and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Leading major gifts, leadership giving, annual giving, and campaign initiatives
  • Managing a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects
  • Collaborating with campus leadership to align advancement goals with institutional priorities
  • Supervising Development, Alumni Engagement, and Institutional Events teams
  • Mentoring advancement professionals and driving a high-performance culture
  • Engaging trustees, volunteers, alumni, and community stakeholders to advance the College’s mission

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred)
  • 7–10+ years of progressive advancement, fundraising, or nonprofit leadership experience
  • A proven record of success in major gift fundraising and donor engagement
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
  • A passion for higher education and the transformative impact of philanthropy
