Position Summary
The Vice President for Advancement provides executive leadership for Lyon College's fundraising and engagement efforts in Little Rock. This role exists to build sustainable philanthropic support and strengthen relationships with alumni, donors, and community partners.
Key responsibilities
- Setting advancement strategy and goals
- Leading major and planned giving, annual giving, stewardship, and donor relations
- Maintaining advancement operations, budgets, and reporting
- Partnering with the President and senior leaders on campaign planning and priorities
- Representing the College with external stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Five to seven years of successful fundraising experience in a higher education or related environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in planning and staffing a capital campaign.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, the liberal arts and the mission of the Lyon College System.
