About the role

Under the direction of the Senior Transportation Planner and the Branch Chief of Grants Management, the Associate Transportation Planner is a full journey-level position responsible for providing support and technical assistance in support of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant programs administered within the Office of Federal Transit Programs (Federal Office) of the Division of Mass Transportation (DMT).

Responsibilities

• Perform transit grant activities as required by the FTA.
• Provide technical assistance about grants administration to program managers and staff within the Federal Office.
• Monitor grant activities and balances.
• Maintain accurate financial information in various data systems.
• Prepare management reports.
• Ensure compliance with FTA grant requirements.
