Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain key physician and hospital contacts to achieve corporate objectives.
- Achieve or exceed individual assigned sales goals using persuasive communication and effective selling skills.
- Acquire product, clinical, and procedural knowledge relevant to the products being sold within a specific territory.
- Manage assigned territory through sales activities including territory analysis, prospecting, growing and maintaining existing accounts, and trials/evaluations.
- Implement successful sales strategies and maintain a superior customer service orientation with each account.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism both externally with customers and internally with company employees.
- Keep sales management and sales personnel informed of selling tips, success stories, and suggestions that can benefit the sales organization.
- Provide ongoing information to sales management and marketing on competitive activities and product introductions or evaluations within the respective geographic boundaries.
- Report all weekly sales activities via call reports.
- Submit weekly expense reports and adhere to expense policy and procedures.
- Maintain specific account knowledge within assigned territory, including key decision makers in each department, department hierarchy, products used and how they are used, company products, and competitor's products, and hospital programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study strongly preferred, or equivalent work-related experience in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service support.
- 0 - 3 years of demonstrated experience in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
