Associate Solutions Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Solution Design Engineer to support a high-performing pre-sales engineering team focused on designing communication and contact center solutions for enterprise clients. In this role, you will partner closely with internal sales teams to translate customer requirements into scalable, technically sound solutions. You will contribute to solution design, assist with proposals and RFP responses, and help ensure accurate and timely delivery of quotes and technical documentation.

Remote (must be based in the United States or Canada)

Standard business hours aligned to Eastern or Central time zones

Responsibilities
- Partner with internal sales teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and define system requirements for integrated communication and contact center solutions.
- Assist with pricing, quoting, and proposal development to support pre-sales activities.
- Respond to technical inquiries via email, web, and phone within defined service level expectations.
- Contribute to RFP responses and create supporting technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and present solution designs.
- Support the use and maintenance of internal tools and solution configurators.
- Continuously build knowledge across solution portfolios, including cloud-based offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following: technical pre-sales, solution engineering, systems design, telecommunications, unified communications, or contact center environments.
- Foundational understanding of communication systems and/or call center operations.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Self-starter mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach.
- Ability to learn new tools, processes, and technologies.
- Experience with enterprise communication platforms or contact center solutions.
- Prior experience as an engineer, solution designer, or partner within a communications technology ecosystem.
- Familiarity with cloud-based and subscription-based solutions.
- Exposure to pricing/quoting tools or solution configurators.
- Experience supporting large enterprise or Fortune 500 clients.
- Working knowledge or practical use of AI tools.
- Experience working in a sales-aligned, pre-sales support environment.
Qualifications
