Associate Scientist - DNA Core

About the Role

The DNA Core facility provides Regeneron laboratories with services necessary for conducting scientific research, including nucleic acid isolation and purification, gene expression, and genotyping. As a member of the DNA Core team, you will perform assignments in a timely manner following scientific protocols, contribute to technology development, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with scientists both within and outside the DNA Core.

Responsibilities

• Homogenize tissues using automated machines.
• Work with mice tissue and/or cells for RNA/DNA/protein extraction.
• Run quality control on RNA/DNA/protein to measure quantity and quality.
• Contribute to lab and equipment maintenance and order supplies/reagents to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Perform laboratory tasks involving pipetting, computer work, and communication with researchers.
• Maintain accurate and complete records consistent with company policy and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Familiarity with liquid handling systems such as Hamilton.
• Experience with RNA purification techniques.
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities flexibly.
• Minimum of a B.S. in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, or a related field with 0+ years of laboratory experience.

Pay

Salary Range (annually): $70,300.00 - $110,100.00 (for roles in Canada).
