Associate Project Manager, Retail Construction
About the role
We are seeking an Associate Project Manager specializing in commercial construction to join our Project and Development Services team. Our team’s priorities include delivering strategic solutions for clients, actively collaborating across platforms, developing our people, supporting ambitions beyond the workplace, and applying new technology and data to drive change.
In this role, you will support and manage industry-changing projects by working with a team to deliver challenging construction initiatives. Your development of skills and adoption of new technologies will be key to your impact. You will interact with clients and vendors to negotiate contracts, manage project-related documentation, track vendor RFPs, conduct weekly meetings, and develop scope and schedule for assigned projects. Your knowledge of the construction and/or architectural industry will enable you to support your team in delivering innovative projects.
Responsibilities
- Support and manage industry-changing commercial construction projects.
- Negotiate contracts and manage project-related documentation.
- Track vendor RFPs and conduct weekly project meetings.
- Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects.
- Deliver consistent, timely, and high-quality work while meeting project requirements cost-effectively.
- Manage minor renovation projects and assist in managing projects of varying sizes.
- Foster an energized and collaborative environment focused on project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Understand client needs, perspectives, and motivations to drive proactive solutions.
- Utilize and adopt project management technology tools to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in architecture, construction management, business, accounting, engineering, or real estate (preferred).
- 3+ years of relevant experience in project or construction management, with commercial construction project management experience preferred.
- Proficiency in project management technology tools and a commitment to continuous skill development.
- Ability to act decisively, think strategically, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and a client-focused, team-driven mindset.
Skills
