About the role

As an Associate Project Manager, you will serve as project support by planning, organizing, and implementing project management principles under direct supervision. This position requires an understanding of business operations, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and anticipate internal customer needs.

The role involves assisting with essential project duties such as cost and labor tracking, material submittals, subcontractor management, and contract compliance to optimize performance, productivity, and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and implement project management principles under supervision.
  • Assist with cost and labor tracking for projects.
  • Handle material submittals and subcontractor management.
  • Ensure contract compliance to optimize performance and reduce costs.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
  • Anticipate and meet internal customer needs.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in utilities, project management, and/or construction management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (desired).
