Associate Professor Term (Open Rank) - Family and Geriatric Medicine

About the role

The University of Louisville Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine, Division of Primary Care Sports Medicine, seeks a full-time faculty member in Family Medicine (or equivalent primary care training) with a board certification, Kentucky licensure, and accredited primary care sports medicine fellowship training.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope primary care services
• Supervise residents in both primary care and hospital settings
• See patients in the sports medicine clinic
• Serve as a supervisor for sports medicine fellows
• Attend training room sessions with University of Louisville athletics
• Engage in game coverage and serve as a team physician
• Collaborate with students, residents, and fellows
• Support departmental missions for education and clinical service

Requirements

• Board certified in Family Medicine (or equivalent primary care training)
• Licensure in the state of Kentucky
• Accredited primary care sports medicine fellowship training
• Experience and proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound (a preference)

Qualifications

• Strong clinical and teaching skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, residents, and fellows
• Interest in and ability to support departmental missions for education and clinical service
