Associate Professor Term (Open Rank) - Family and Geriatric Medicine
About the role
The University of Louisville Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine, Division of Primary Care Sports Medicine, seeks a full-time faculty member in Family Medicine (or equivalent primary care training) with a board certification, Kentucky licensure, and accredited primary care sports medicine fellowship training.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope primary care services
- Supervise residents in both primary care and hospital settings
- See patients in the sports medicine clinic
- Serve as a supervisor for sports medicine fellows
- Attend training room sessions with University of Louisville athletics
- Engage in game coverage and serve as a team physician
- Collaborate with students, residents, and fellows
- Support departmental missions for education and clinical service
Requirements
- Board certified in Family Medicine (or equivalent primary care training)
- Licensure in the state of Kentucky
- Accredited primary care sports medicine fellowship training
- Experience and proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound (a preference)
Qualifications
- Strong clinical and teaching skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, residents, and fellows
- Interest in and ability to support departmental missions for education and clinical service
