About the role

The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of brain tumor surgery and brain tumor research in immune and cellular therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include the neurosurgical management of brain and skull base tumors and oversight of the multi-disciplinary care of brain and skull base tumor patients, including clinical trials.
  • Research or scholarship responsibilities may include translational and/or basic research in brain tumors, with funding from the National Institutes of Health and other federal funding agencies as PI.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Applicant must be board certified.
