About the role

The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of neuro-immuno-oncology, cancer neuroscience, and genomics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows
  • Providing formal lectures within the department and PSOM
  • Maintaining a robust, federally-funded independent research program
  • Collaborating with other investigators to develop interdisciplinary programs that move scientific discoveries from the laboratory to clinical settings
  • Led leadership and management of core facilities, including multiphoton imaging, -omics, and flow cytometry

Requirements

Preferred candidate must have a strong track record of federal research funding and a sterling national and international reputation. A continuous record of productivity and high-impact original papers as a project leader are essential.
