About the role

The University of Miami Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery is seeking an Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology. This position is part of a dynamic program with a rich history dating back over 60 years.

Responsibilities

  • Treatment and prevention of general dermatology, specializing in the care and treatment of patients with general dermatology disorders in the outpatient settings throughout UHealth
  • Provides high quality medical care to patients with general dermatology conditions
  • Conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services
  • Trains and mentors residents and fellows to increase their clinical fund of knowledge and interest/success with academic research
  • Prepares and presents at teaching conferences
  • Obtains data and results that can be used to submit applications for future clinical research awards
  • Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned
  • Serves as an attending physician in the Division of Dermatology, with focus on the care and treatment of patients with general dermatology conditions
  • Shares in inpatient coverage and coverage of the telehealth service for the cruise lines with other colleagues
  • Participates in educational conferences, department meetings, and scholarly work
  • Performs administrative functions associated with the department

Requirements

  • MD Degree
  • Certification and Licensing: Fully trained in Dermatology-board certified or board-eligible

Qualifications

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently as part of a collaborative group

Pay

The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $300,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
