About the Role
The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery, is seeking an Assistant Professor specializing in medical dermatology with a focus on infectious diseases in dermatology and hidradenitis suppurativa. This role is based at the University of Miami, Dr. Phillip Frost Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery Desai and SoleMia clinical locations. The position is 100% clinical effort.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in medical dermatology, with a focus on infectious diseases and hidradenitis suppurativa.
- Share inpatient coverage and telehealth service for cruise lines with colleagues.
- Participate in educational conferences and department meetings.
- Engage in scholarly work and administrative functions associated with the department.
- Generate sufficient funds to cover professional income, practice expenses, and contribute to the Department of Dermatology annually.
Requirements
- Florida licensed M.D.
- Fully trained in Dermatology—board-certified or board-eligible.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams.
- Teaching experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently as part of a collaborative group.
