About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. This position focuses on medical dermatology, particularly infectious diseases in dermatology and hidradenitis suppurativa, based at our Dr. Phillip Frost Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery Desai and SoleMia clinical locations. The role is 100% clinical effort.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in medical dermatology with a focus on infectious diseases and hidradenitis suppurativa
• Share inpatient coverage and telehealth service for cruise lines
• Participate in educational conferences and department meetings
• Engage in scholarly work and administrative functions associated with the department
• Generate sufficient funds to cover professional income, practice expenses, and contribute to the department annually

Requirements

• Florida licensed M.D.
• Fully trained in Dermatology—board-certified or board-eligible
• Experience working with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams
• Teaching experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and independently as part of a collaborative group
