Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and sustain an independent, extramurally funded program of research that contributes to nursing science and improves health outcomes.
  • Mentor undergraduate and graduate students, including doctoral candidates, and assist faculty in advancing their research portfolios and securing competitive external funding.
  • Contribute to teaching across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in areas of expertise.
  • Lead or collaborate in interdisciplinary, community-based research and health policy implications/outcomes.
  • Disseminate research findings through high-impact peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and translational activities.
  • Provide leadership and service to the School of Nursing-Camden, Rutgers University, the profession, and the community (e.g., committee service, accreditation, professional organizations).

Qualifications

  • A strong emphasis on innovation, improving health across populations, and preparing nurses for evolving healthcare challenges.
  • A sustained record of extramural funding (at least five years).
  • Impactful scholarship and demonstrated expertise in mentoring.
