Assistant Professor of Nursing Tenure-Track

Berea College’s Nursing Department, the oldest program west of the Alleghenies, announces a tenure-track or continuing full-time position to begin in August 2026.

Located where the Bluegrass Region meets the Cumberland Mountains, the town of Berea (pop. 16,000) lies 40 miles south of Lexington and is approximately two hours from Cincinnati, Louisville, and Knoxville.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Adult Health within a pre-licensure baccalaureate nursing program.
• Contribute to the College’s general education program when possible.
• Engage in student labor supervision, including scheduling, assigning, and approving student work, developing students' workplace acumen, and providing tangible work experience.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree (required).
• Doctorate degree (preferred).
• Current unencumbered Kentucky RN license.
• Teaching record in Adult Health.
• Commitment to excellent undergraduate teaching.
• Preference given to candidates with simulation experience.
