Responsibilities
- Teach nursing courses consistent with area of expertise
- Collaborate with other faculty in course development
- Use teaching resources, such as WebCampus/Canvas to foster learning
- Provide student supervision
- Participate in school, university, professional and community service activities
- Engage in research leading to publications in quality, refereed journals
- Solicit internal and external grant funds
Requirements
- Hold a doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited College or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- Hold or be qualified to hold a Nevada RN license
- Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment
Qualifications
- Terminal degree and comprehensive experience and research activity for Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track)
- Terminal degree, research activity, and a record of extensive scholarly achievement for Associate/Professor (tenured)
Skills
- Ability to teach nursing courses
- Experience in collaborative course development
- Proficiency in using online learning platforms
- Supervisory experience
- Research and publication skills
