Assistant Professor - Nursing (Tenure Track)

Description of Duties

The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton seeks qualified applicants for two full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor positions teaching in the Department of Nursing beginning August 2024.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical areas for the RN and/or RN-BSN nursing program.
• Student advisement.
• Scholarly activity.
• Assisting in program and curriculum development.
• Assessment.
• Institutional service.

Qualifications

• Valid unencumbered NYS RN license required.
• Master of Science degree in nursing required at the time of hire, terminal degree preferred (e.g. Ph.D., DNP, Ed.D), terminal degree required for continuing appointment.
• Three years teaching experience preferred.
• Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
