About the role

The Department of Information Systems in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Associate Professor position beginning Fall 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate classes
• Produce high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Participate in university and other service activities
• Advise PhD students in two or more of the following areas:
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Analytics
  • Cybersecurity
  • Programming
  • Web development
  • Data communications/networking
  • Systems analysis and design
  • IS policy/strategy
  • Change management
  • Project management
  • Database management
• Conduct service activities and serve in leadership roles in the department

Requirements

• PhD in Information Systems or a closely related discipline
• Established research agenda evidenced through publications in peer-reviewed journals in information systems
• Evidence of teaching experience at the university level

Preferred Qualifications

• Administrative and service experience at the university level
