About the Role
The Associate Producer will support studio coverage with a variety of production responsibilities. This position is based in Stamford, CT, and requires non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Use deep knowledge of soccer to generate and support ideas based on betting, live events, breaking news, and other developments in the soccer world.
- Build relationships with producers, on-air talent, and graphics teams to ensure high-quality video tape assets.
- Align linear and social production to create compelling studio content.
- Anticipate, identify, and respond to relevant trends, developing storylines and highlighting noteworthy performances for soccer coverage.
- Communicate timely and effectively with producers to provide thorough, creative, and precise video content.
- Proactively identify and suggest segment or video ideas for studio coverage.
- Develop original, creative ideas for video elements that present analysis, storylines, and trending issues in soccer.
- Clip and edit/format video materials using Adobe Premiere.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of soccer is required.
- Minimum 3+ years in the production field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of how a studio show control room operates.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
- Must be able to be in the studio on show days in Stamford, CT.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Self-starter with demonstrated initiative.
- Control room experience is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of the entire soccer landscape, both internationally and domestically, with the ability to think visually outside the box.
- Able to work under tight deadlines and handle a high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both individually and within a team environment.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Pay
Hiring salary range: $56,000.00 - $84,000.00. The range applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay depends on geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
