Associate Pastor – Family Ministry
About the Role
The Associate Pastor of Family Ministry provides pastoral leadership, vision, and strategic oversight for ministries serving children, youth, young adults, and families. This role is responsible for developing a comprehensive, Christ-centered discipleship strategy that equips parents as the primary spiritual leaders in their homes while fostering spiritual growth across all generations.
As a member of the pastoral leadership team, the Associate Pastor collaborates with church staff, volunteers, and church leadership to strengthen family ministry programs, provide pastoral care, oversee children’s and youth ministries, develop young adult discipleship opportunities, and engage families through outreach and community connection.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Christ-centered discipleship strategy for families, children, youth, and young adults.
- Equip parents as the primary spiritual leaders in their homes.
- Oversee and strengthen children’s and youth ministry programs.
- Provide pastoral care and leadership to families, volunteers, and ministry teams.
- Collaborate with church staff and leadership to advance the church’s mission and vision.
- Create and expand young adult discipleship opportunities.
- Engage families through outreach and community connection initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to Southern Baptist doctrine.
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
- Passion for discipleship and spiritual growth.
- Relational skills to effectively minister to children, young adults, parents, and volunteers.
Pay
$80,000 – $90,000 (Compensation is negotiable based on qualifications, experience, and overall fit).
