About the role
The Assistant OBGYN Residency Program Director oversees aspects of the integrated OBGYN Residency Program at Mount Carmel in accordance with ACGME requirements. Responsibilities include organizing, coordinating, and supervising the program, staying current with clinical developments, participating in professional activities related to resident training, and providing leadership and supervision in didactic and clinical educational activities.
Responsibilities
- Organize, coordinate, and supervise aspects of the integrated OBGYN Residency Program at Mount Carmel in accordance with ACGME Requirements
- Remain current with clinical developments and practice in OBGYN
- Participate in professional activities related to resident training, both clinical and educational
- Provide leadership and supervise OBGYN residents in didactic and clinical educational activities
Requirements
- Substantial knowledge of and experience in graduate medical education in an ACGME accredited teaching hospital and OBGYN program
- The ability to communicate effectively with resident physicians, teaching faculty, hospital administration, and associates of the Mount Carmel Health System
- A passion for leadership development and mentoring residents
- Full and unrestricted practice of license from the Ohio State Medical Board with current OBGYN Board-Certification
Qualifications
- Candidate MUST have substantial knowledge of and experience in graduate medical education in an ACGME accredited teaching hospital and OBGYN program
- The ability to communicate effectively with resident physicians, teaching faculty, hospital administration, and associates of the Mount Carmel Health System
- A passion for leadership development and mentoring residents
- Full and unrestricted practice of license from the Ohio State Medical Board with current OBGYN Board-Certification
