About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for Finance associates to join the Finance & Transactions team in our Chicago or Los Angeles office. Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives you the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. Responsibilities
- Lead initial stages of a deal, such as negotiating a term sheet and drafting (or marking up) the first draft of a purchase/merger agreement.
- Manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Work closely with private equity/sponsor clients on acquisitions, dispositions, and growth equity.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of transactional/M&A experience at a law firm, primarily focused on private company M&A.
- J.D. degree (or its equivalent) and strong academic credentials.
- Admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, the applicable jurisdiction (Illinois, Florida, or California).

Pay
$260,000 - $360,000 annual base salary.
