Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Analyze and present financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decision-makers in M&A transactions.
- Ensure quality of client deliverables by having a strong attention to detail.
- Collaborate with, mentor and develop junior staff – particularly analysts.
- Conducting industry research to understand our clients’ businesses and the environments they operate in.
- Identify key trends that may affect them and their respective M&A processes.
- Individuals will be assigned a wide variety of projects and given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit.
Essential Traits
- MBA with a minimum of 1 year prior experience in investment banking or
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience at a reputable boutique or regional investment bank with demonstrable M&A execution experience.
- Strong interest in the financial services industry.
- Ability to make effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience with managing day to day aspects of client relationships and projects.
- Current FINRA Series 79 & 63 certifications are required – no exceptions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in thought leadership and idea generation that helps represent diverse communities.
- Able to travel a minimum of 25% of the time on an regular basis.
