About the role

Reporting to the Chief Physicist, this position provides physics support for Radiation Oncology department. Under the direction of the senior medical physicists, key responsibilities include weekly chart checking, acceptance testing and commissioning of therapy hardware; and calibration and QA of therapy equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Medical physics or related major or Ph.D. in Medical physics or related major
  • Coursework/Training: Specialized training in dosimetric techniques and physics of treatment planning and calibration of Linacs
  • National Medical Physics - Therapeutic Certification - American Board of Radiology within 5 years of hire

  • IMRT QA and HDR

Pay

Base pay range: $83.21 - $131.38 per hour. Placement within the range is determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
