Associate - Market Data Specialist

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with bankers, coordinate stakeholders and other support teams
• Manage a portfolio of vendors across different geographies
• Negotiate new and existing vendor contracts
• Identify savings opportunities
• Support regular business reviews to ensure operational continuity

Requirements

• At least 4 years of work experience managing market data, external content, or online database portfolios in a financial services environment
• Experience with core financial data platforms (FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Refinitiv/LSEG, PitchBook, etc.)
• Awareness of AI-powered features being embedded across major data platforms, and the ability to assess licensing and use-case implications
• A self-starter mindset, capable of managing competing priorities while delivering accurate work in a timely manner with minimal oversight
• Proven ability to negotiate and influence complex vendor conversations both internally and externally to drive successful outcomes for the firm
• A working knowledge of data governance principles, entitlements management, and licensing compliance in an investment banking or advisory context
• Familiarity with cross-border licensing requirements, applicable to European operations

Pay

The base salary range for this role is approximately $100,000 - $130,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
