Associate Manager-Field Services Outside Plant Construction Splicer

About the role

TDS Telecom is seeking an experienced Associate Manager – Field Services Outside Plant Construction to lead fiber splicing operations and support capital projects in Montana markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiber splicing, testing, and quality control, with a proven track record in supervising construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities and personnel for OSP construction to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Facilitates meetings with Network Services to ensure project timelines and information are submitted in a timely manner.
• Provides leadership to construction teams to maintain a challenging and rewarding environment.
• Ensures compliance with TDS policies, processes, and procedures.
• Serves as the management point of contact for TDS network projects and customer-related construction issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional work experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3+ years' experience in the telecommunications industry.
• 2+ years' experience in a supervisory role or equivalent leadership experience.
• Strong overhead and underground fiber construction background, with a focus on supervision.
• Customer-focused management and/or Total Quality Management training preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong leadership ability, and interpersonal skills.
• Available to work off-hours for emergency conditions.
