About the role

The Associate Manager-Commercial Marketing is responsible for the planning, development, and execution of TDS’s strategic and tactical marketing initiatives. This includes campaigns that support new customer acquisition as well as nurturing existing customers to drive sales and meet company objectives for market penetration, gross adds, and revenue targets.

This role leads, develops, implements, and manages commercial lead generation and promotional campaigns across TDS markets using traditional and digital marketing tactics. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating events, submitting job requests, creative proofing, and campaign execution. The Associate Manager-Commercial Marketing monitors tactical success, reports on initiatives, and supports the broader marketing organization.

Additionally, this position manages medium-scope programs to drive new customer acquisition and increase market penetration, collaborating with Product Management to develop special offers and with peers to create market-specific campaign strategies. The role involves analyzing initiatives for success and identifying opportunities for improvement.

The Associate Manager-Commercial Marketing provides operational support for marketing and sales automation technologies, such as Salesforce, including process and list development, and hands-on work within CRM and Marketing Automation software. This role maintains knowledge of TDS market areas, product availability, and competitive threats, working with marketing, sales, and product management teams to facilitate sales and access market opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial lead generation strategies.
  • Schedule and manage creation of new marketing materials.
  • Oversee writing, design, and production of materials.
  • Manage commercial marketing expense budget.
  • Provide event coordination support.
  • Manage direct mail campaigns as needed.
  • Analyze data from marketing tests.
  • Develop and distribute monthly marketing analytics reporting.
  • Create and manage special programs to improve customer acquisition, including planning, budgeting, and overseeing the creation of marketing materials (printed and digital).
  • Manage relationships with vendors.
  • Analyze effectiveness and profitability of campaigns.
  • Assist with the development of new programs to increase results and meet company goals.
  • Interact with sales and marketing leaders to create, manage, and implement marketing and sales tactical plans.
  • Provide ongoing operational support for marketing and sales automation technologies, such as Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) OR 4+ years of professional work experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience in marketing or advertising.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of how to analyze sales and marketing initiatives for success, profitability, retention, and customer satisfaction.
  • Well-developed conceptual thinking skills, including good intuition and the ability to make educated decisions based on customer needs.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work with employees at all levels.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel and Office Suite skills; knowledge of CRM or Marketing Automation Software is a plus.
  • Successful experience in project management, product management, and process administration.

The associate is regularly required to sit, stand, write, and operate a computer keyboard, standard office equipment, and telephone. The associate regularly communicates with customers and is frequently required to move about and reach for items. The associate may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Pay

The listed pay range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary. Actual offers will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, location, and role-specific competencies. Some positions may also offer additional compensation, such as bonuses or equity awards.

Pay Range: $75,300.00/Yr. - $122,300.00/Yr.
