Associate Legal Fellow

About the role

Conduct legal research on state and federal policy issues and reforms. Collaborate with policy and government affairs teams to advance reforms, lead multi-state policy surveys, and maintain internal tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Draft memos, legislative language, executive materials, and legal documents
• Track court cases, litigation trends, and policy developments nationwide
• Support development of amicus briefs, public comments, and legal analysis
• Collaborate with policy and government affairs teams to advance reforms
• Lead multi-state policy surveys and maintain internal tracking systems

Requirements

• J.D. required with 0–3 years of legal or policy experience
• Experience with legal research, drafting, or litigation support preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Alignment with mission-driven, policy-focused work in political environment

Pay

$75,000–$95,000 + benefits
