Associate Legal Counsel

Areas of Responsibility

• Advise on various legal issues relating to company business practices.
• Review, draft, and assist in the negotiation of various contracts and agreements, corporate policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Aid in regulatory compliance issues.
• Review and update confidentiality agreements.
• Assist in developing legal training materials.
• Support in maintaining executed agreements and other corporate documents.

Desired Traits

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering or other technical degrees are a plus).
• Juris Doctorate is required.
• Must be a licensed attorney and in good standing to practice law in the United States.
• Previous legal experience is a plus, but not required.
• Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong analytic, critical thinking and sound judgment abilities with meticulous attention to detail required.
• Spanish/Japanese bilingual abilities and/or experience living in Japan or working with Japanese companies are a plus.

Physical Demands

• Travel: Ability to travel up to 5% annually (globally) for meetings and conferences.

Pay

Salary Range for this role is $63,000 - $68,000 per year based on experience.

Schedule

The position can be 100% remote, but the ability to work at least one day a week from one of our facilities (Schaumburg, IL; Dayton, OH; Fraser, MI; Bellaire, MI; or Queretaro, Mexico) is a plus.
