About the role

Work closely with senior bankers to structure and lead loan and high-yield transactions for leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, recapitalizations, restructurings, and refinancing. Train and mentor junior resources while supporting senior-level executives in all stages of the transaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of pitch materials for clients across sectors, presenting strategic and financing views, company analysis, and financing terms.
  • Build and validate financial models with sensitized capital structure and operating assumption scenarios.
  • Collaborate with senior leveraged finance and industry bankers, syndication/capital markets, internal risk teams, corporate banking, liability management, ratings advisors, and other bank areas on internal credit processes and external client servicing.
  • Support due diligence and underwriting, including:
    • Review of data-room documentation and third-party materials.
    • Evaluation of financial statements, historical trends, and projections.
    • Participation in diligence meetings/calls with management and subject-matter experts.
  • Assist in negotiating commitment terms, covenants, and relevant credit document provisions.
  • Prepare marketing and offering materials for leveraged loans or high-yield bonds (e.g., rating agency materials, lender and roadshow presentations, information memorandums, prospectuses).
  • Proactively identify operational risks and control deficiencies in the business.
  • Review and comply with firm policies applicable to business activities.
  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies, and risks to line management and relevant risk/control functions.

Requirements

  • BA or equivalent with emphasis in finance, accounting, or economics; strong academic credentials.
  • MBA, MA, or MS preferred but not required.
  • At least one year of Leveraged Finance or related finance experience.
  • Ability to take initiative and function independently under pressure while maintaining strong teaming skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and market data applications.
  • Familiarity with credit agreements and other debt facility documentation.
  • Prior lead-left deal experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with internal and external constituents.
  • Series 79 & 63 licenses required.
  • Strong competency in collaboration, relationship building, communication, integrity, and operating with a diverse and inclusive mindset.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $200,000–$275,000, depending on factors such as candidate experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This range excludes discretionary bonuses and benefits.

Schedule

Full-time position with 40 work hours per week.

Location: Brookfield Place (200 Vesey Street), New York, United States.
